Interests: The picture above is that of Duke Blue Devils' guard J.J. Redick. He can drive the lane, put up the three like it's his job (making the 40-fters look like lay-ups), and show off his mad hops by doing the two-handed jam. He proverbially rocks my world like no other.

I ran into this while on Duke's website.

I mean, come on... J.J. just looks better.

Nevertheless, this picture can't take away a Blue Devil loss. That's ok, no biggie! They are going to win the ACC regular season title anyways. As for that thing about good losses vs. bad losses... I don't know. That's not really important. All you gotta do is go out the next day and play your best ball. That's all you can do. This was just horrible...

Stat of the game

FTs

DUKE: 10-17

FLORIDA STATE: 32-40

Umm, yep. That'll do it.

There is still optimism down in Durham though. And is there any better way to take out some anger then on your biggest rival?

I feel sorry for the Tar Heels.

Well, have a good break, all.

God Bless, and Go Blue Devils.

Amanda, out.

So for some reason, my xanga is acting stupid and it would let people click on a link to get to it. The only way that you are going to be able to read it is if you are subscriber.... congrats to those fortunate few.

This has been a, without any misinterpretation, horrible week. I have never been so crammed with work (welcome to the world of a comm major). Nevertheless, I have a great incentive to look forward to, SPRING BREAK! However, we all know that spring break is just an opportunity to catch up on the work that didn't really need to get done before spring break, and we really couldn't get it done because we had so much other crap to do, and now we are wasting our time off just to get caught up. (Wordiness, wordiness... Milan has taught me well.)

So here is what I have left to do before I pack it all up and make my way down to Tulsa... (and 60 degree temps!):

by class...

-Theatre: DONE! (have to read over spring break though)

-Theo: Synoptic project (have to read and study for test over spring break)

-Econ: DONE! (Have to read and study for test over spring break)

-Comm: DONE! (Have to read over spring break)

-Philosophy: Spur of the moment mid term given yesterday to be completed by 5 pm Friday (reading and working on reseach paper over break)

Yeah, so break is gonna suck. (Homework wise that is) However, it will be nice to be home.

Well, I might have one more post tomorrow about Duke, but the 'rents are taking my comp home tomorrow night since I can't take it to Tulsa with me. So if I don't see or talk to you, have a wonderful break, all. After tomorrow, I won't be writing for a while, and the next time that it will probably happen, it will be from the great town/state of Brookfield, IL!!!

Peace and God Bless.

Amanda, out.

Here's for the cliff-hanger...

... I think I may not make it out of here alive... dum dum dum...

I realized that last week, got exactly what I wanted... and I didn't like it.

Thought of the day: Why does it seem like the more you try to run away from something, the closer it gets? Something to ponder...

Yeah, I am really trying to decide how life is going right now. Is it good... bad... ugly? Don't know, but I can tell you this: it is cyclical. It is true when the say, "the more things change, the more they stay the same." After all I have been through in the last few months, we are right back where we started. However, I don't know if that is a good or bad thing. (Hence my opening two lines) God brings us back to certain situations later in life after we have experienced things because we were not ready for that situation the first time. Perhaps we were a little too early the first time and now we are ready for it? Let's hope so... for now I am in the process of taking test #1 of life. Will I pass...?
